Clerk of Works (Ref. No.: CPD/COW)

The Property Development Department commits to provide development management and project management services within the Group. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all the building works on site
  • Monitor the progress of building works on site against agreed procedures and programme
  • Inspect and examine materials used and workmanship employed in the building works against contract requirements and approved samples
  • Coordinate site variations to deal with on-site difficulties and report to the Project PM
  • Inspect, examine and witness tests on works; and identify outstanding works and defective areas and monitor rectification works
  • Assist in handing over of the completed works to relevant parties
  • Attend client and contractors progress meetings as required
  • Maintain a site log book recording all activities on site
  • Prepare progress reports for the reporting of summarizing site progress against the agreed programme, memos issued during the period, non-compliance works identified and other incidents/issues that have occurred etc. The report shall be briefed and presented in regular site meetings
  • Carry out such other duties as directed

Requirements

  • Degree or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related disciplines
  • Higher certificate or higher diploma holder in building studies or related discipline
  • Not less than 10 years of relevant working experience including 6 years of relevant post-qualification experience in the capacity of the clerk of works in residential projects
  • Experience in developers is a huge advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and able to work independently
  • Flexible, detail-minded as well as excellent in communicating and building relationships with various stakeholders
  • Fluent in Cantonese is a must; proficient in English is an advantage
