In light of recent reports that a worker wearing the uniform of Chevalier (Construction) Company Limited (“the Company”) was seen carrying out scaffolding works and allegedly smoking at Cheong Wei Industrial Building in Chai Wan, the Company wishes to make the following clarification:
The Company has not undertaken any projects related to Cheong Wei Industrial Building, nor has it engaged any subcontractors for such works.
At the same time, the Company expresses its deepest condolences to victims of the fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po and extends heartfelt sympathy to the families affected.
The Company has always placed the highest priority on construction safety. All our projects are governed by stringent safety regulations and protocols. Any violation, once identified, will be addressed with the utmost seriousness.
